1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the outdoor sauna and cold plunge facilities (“Services”) operated by AWE by the Lake (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking, attending, or using the facilities, you (“the client”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our Services.
2. Health & Safety Requirements
2.1 You must be 18 years or older to use the sauna or cold plunge unless accompanied by a responsible adult. Minors require parental consent and supervision at all times.
2.2 You confirm that you are in suitable health to participate in heat and cold exposure. This includes confirming you do not suffer from:

• Cardiovascular or heart conditions

• Uncontrolled high or low blood pressure

• Respiratory diseases

• Recent surgeries or injuries

• Conditions aggravated by extreme temperatures

• Pregnancy (consult your GP)

2.3 Heat and cold exposure carry inherent risks such as dizziness, fainting, shock, dehydration, and hypothermia. You use the facilities entirely at your own risk.
2.4 You agree to:

• Hydrate before and after sessions

• Exit the sauna or cold plunge immediately if unwell

• Follow staff instructions at all times

2.5 We reserve the right to refuse access if we believe participation may be unsafe.
3. Booking, Payments & Cancellations
3.1 Bookings must be made in advance through our approved booking system.
A reservation is confirmed only once payment is received.
3.2 Cancellation Policy:

• More than 24 hours’ notice: Full refund or reschedule

• Less than 24 hours’ notice: No refund

3.3 If we must close due to maintenance, safety concerns, or extreme weather, we will offer a reschedule or full refund.
3.4 No-shows are non-refundable.
4. Use of Sauna & Cold Plunge
By attending AWE by the Lake, you agree to:
Sauna

• Sit on towels at all times

• Not pour oils or any substances onto the sauna heater

• Respect heat limits and session time guidance

• Enter and exit safely, taking care around hot surfaces

Cold Plunge

• Enter the water slowly and under control

• Follow maximum time guidelines

• Avoid submerging your head unless experienced and confident

• Exit immediately if feeling numb, light-headed, or uncomfortable

5. Facility Conduct
You must:

• Behave respectfully toward staff and other guests

• Not attend under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol

• Keep noise to an appropriate level due to neighbouring businesses

• Use the facilities for their intended purpose

• Wear appropriate swimwear at all times

Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises without refund.
6. Personal Belongings & Property
6.1 You are responsible for your personal items.
6.2 AWE by the Lake is not liable for:

• Lost or stolen items

• Damage to personal property

7. Liability & Waiver
7.1 You acknowledge that both heat exposure and cold immersion can pose risks and that participation is voluntary.
7.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, AWE by the Lake is not liable for:

• Injury, illness, or medical conditions arising from sauna or cold plunge use

• Accidents resulting from failure to follow instructions

• Slips, trips, or falls in outdoor areas

• Medical complications

7.3 You agree to fully indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims arising from misuse, negligence, or breach of these Terms.
8. Weather Policy
AWE by the Lake operates outdoors in most weather conditions.
However, we may close or suspend use in cases of:

• Severe storms

• Ice hazards

• High winds

• Structural safety concerns

Our decision on weather-related closures is final.
9. Hygiene Procedures
You agree to:

• Shower before entering the sauna or cold plunge

• Avoid attending if unwell or contagious

• Dispose of rubbish responsibly

• Use provided towels or mats on benches

We reserve the right to refuse entry for hygiene or safety reasons.
10. Photography & Social Media
With your consent, we may use photos or videos for marketing and social media.
You may opt out at any time by notifying a staff member.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect personal information solely for:

• Bookings

• Safety and health acknowledgements

• Communication

Data is stored securely and never shared except where legally required.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled within the local legal jurisdiction.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or using any facility at AWE by the Lake, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
